What exactly am I buying?
A non-exclusive license to use “AfterGlow” in your own release. Beats By Alan keeps full ownership and may license the same track to other artists.
What’s the difference between Basic and Premium?
Basic ($19.99): untagged MP3, 1 release, 50,000 streams, 1 music video. Premium ($79.99): WAV + MP3, 2 releases, 500,000 streams, 2 videos, radio on 2 stations. Neither includes TV/film/ads — that needs a separate sync license.
How do I receive my files?
By email within 24 hours of payment (usually much faster). Basic: untagged MP3 (320 kbps). Premium: WAV (48 kHz/16-bit) + MP3 + cover art. License terms included with every order.
Can I release on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube, TikTok?
Yes — both tiers cover all streaming platforms and social media, within your tier’s stream limits.
Will YouTube flag my upload with a copyright claim?
It might — the original is registered in YouTube’s Content ID, so an automated match can occur. Your license gives you the legal right to use the track: dispute the claim with your license and receipt and it will be released. This is standard in the beat industry. Do I have to give credit?
Yes — credit “Produced by Beats By Alan” wherever your song appears.
Can I monetize my song or video?
Yes — keep 100% of your royalties and ad revenue from your own version, within your tier’s limits.
What if my song passes the stream limit?
Good problem to have. Contact us to upgrade — you only pay the price difference.
Can I buy exclusive rights?
No. The track is already commercially released on streaming platforms, so exclusives aren’t available.
Can I resell, share, or upload the beat as-is?
No. No reselling, sharing, or uploading the instrumental as your own track or in sample packs. Your license covers your finished song only.
Can I register my version with Content ID?
Your own version (e.g. with your vocals) — yes, through your distributor. Never the instrumental itself in a way that claims ownership or blocks the original release.
Can I make a cover or remix of AfterGlow?
Yes — both tiers include the right to release covers (your own re-recording) and remixes (built from the licensed audio files), within your tier’s stream and release limits. No separate mechanical license needed — it’s included. Present yours as your own distinct version (e.g. “AfterGlow (cover) — originally by Beats By Alan”) and credit “Produced by Beats By Alan”.
Can I use it in a film, ad, TV show, or game?
That needs a separate sync license. email us at support@beatsbyalan.com with your project details.
The track was made with AI — does that affect me?
“AfterGlow” was produced with AI-assisted tools (Suno) under a paid commercial plan. Most platforms accept AI-assisted music, but you’re responsible for checking your distributor’s policies.
Does the original stay on Spotify?
Yes, permanently, on all platforms. Your license covers your own distinct version (vocal version, remix). Don’t present yours as the original.
Can I upgrade from Basic to Premium later?
Anytime — you only pay the $60 difference.
What payment methods do you accept?
All major credit and debit cards through Stripe’s secure checkout.
Do you offer refunds?
Digital downloads: all sales are final. Defective or corrupt files will be replaced — just contact us.
